Romans 12:2 (NIV)
[2] Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

“ Matthew 7:13-14 (NIV)
[13] “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. [14] But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

“ How to know the Truth .”

1. We know the truth about God through Creation.

[3] When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place – Psalms 8:3 (NIV)

Why people don’t believe in God?

  • Because of Damaged Emotions
  • Because of Pride

2. We know what’s true through our Conscience.

“[14] When Gentiles, who do not have the Law … [15] They show that the essential requirements of the Law are written in their hearts; and their conscience [their sense of right and wrong, their moral choices] bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or perhaps defending them …” – Romans 2:14-15 (AMP)

  • Degradation of consciences
  • Evil Conscience

[22] let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
Defiled Conscience – Hebrews 10:22 (NKJV)

[15] Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are defiled. – Titus 1:15 (NLT)

Conscience that are seared by a rod of iron.

[2] …whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. – 1 Timothy 4:2 (NIV)

3. We know what’s true through Scriptures.

God is self- sustaining and self-revealing

4. Through the Conviction of the Holy Spirit

[8] When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: – John 16:8 (GNT)

    • Guide

[13] But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. –         John 16:13 (NIV)

    • Counsellor, Teacher and Inspirer

John 14:26 (NIV)
[26] But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 (NIV)
[9] However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him”—

[10] but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

1 Corinthians 2:12 (NIV)
[12] We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.

1 Corinthians 2:14 (NIV)
[14] The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

John 3:3, 5-6 (NIV)
[3] “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”[5] “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. [6] Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

5. We know what’s true through a Relationship with Christ.

John 14: 6 NIV
“… I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by Me.”
The Bible says in John 3:33 ( NLT ) “Those who believe Him discover that God is true.”
